About Donnie
What the hell is that purple "squid looking thing"?
The purple squid looking thing is called Donnie, He is the sole member of a species officially known as Dectopus, or Dectopi should another one be found. Donnie is also often referred to as "Donnie Dectopus".
Why have I never heard of a dectopus?
Probably because Donnie is the only one of his kind, at least that we are aware of, and he was only discovered in the summer of 2008.
Who found him?
Paul Legg, a Marine Biologist, discovered Donnie washed up on a beach on the South East coast of England. Donnie was unconcious when found and Paul was later heard saying "i'm worried for the little fella, he seems a bit blue", but it turned out he is just naturally purple.
What has he got to do with 10tickles?
Donnie joined the 10tickles team after "the accident". All we know is it involved a lobster and a sea turtle, Donnie suffered severe memory loss from the incident and can now only focus on ten things at any one time, so naturally, he became the ideal candidate for the job.
Why is he purple, and why does he have ten legs?
This is a touchy subject for Donnie, one which he doesn’t like talking about, probably due to the years of abuse he suffered back in the ocean.
But we think his mum (an Octopus) might have been over friendly with the postman, Steve the Squid.
Why does Donnie look like a cross between an octopus and a squid?
See above
Why is Donnie wearing a hat?
Donnie was left with a very visible scar after his accident, he is a little self conscious of it the scar so always covers it with one of his many trademark hats he picks up on Seabay.
Why has Donnie not gone back to the Ocean since his accident?
Donnie is happy and at home in the 10tickles office and is not intending to return to ocean life any time soon, even though he is slowly becoming very respected amongst the sea life that once looked down on him. he is also currently in talks with a production house about the possibilty of releasing a biography in the near future.
